    Duties and Responsibilities The main duties and responsibilities of the Human Resource Manager include, but are not limited to:  Being responsible for human resource activities, including recruitment, terminations, staff relations and benefits.  Working with supervisors and managers to determine skill gaps and advise on training and development programmes for all levels of staff, and administering follow-up assessments.  Employing retention strategies for high-value staff by developing and managing reward, recognition, compensation and benefits packages.  Developing and implementing human resource policies and procedures that support the organization’s goals.  Maintaining and updating confidential records, policy manuals and employee handbooks.  Managing and disseminating all internal communication in the organization that relate to notices, events, regulations, policies and procedures, etc  Managing and administering performance management systems to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.  Informing management and advising on critical human resources situations and issues  Maintaining and updating employee files and records  Managing human resources to facilitate the continued improvement of the department, the accomplishment of organizational goals, and promoting service excellence.  Performing related work as required by the appropriate authority.
